Panel Discussion:
Energy Affordability: How CCAs and Energy Advocates Keep Electric Prices Competitive and Innovative

As energy affordability remains one of the most pressing issues on Capitol Hill, particularly in the context of inflation, grid modernization, and equitable energy access, this conversation is both timely and urgent. For the panel discussion, we are bringing together a group of trade associations, community choice energy leaders, and community stakeholders to engage on three core themes:

1. Energy Affordability Challenges: Examining how the evolving federal policy landscape, rising infrastructure costs, increase in AI/data centers, and financing pressures, among other things are shaping electricity prices across the country.

2. CCA and Energy Advocates Provide Innovative Solutions to Address Energy Affordability: How Community Choice Aggregation (CCA) communities, energy associations, and community groups deliver cost-effective energy solutions that foster competitive, innovative, and resilient energy markets and communities.

3. Advocacy Best Practices & Lessons Learned: A candid, experience-driven conversation on what's actually working when it comes to advocating before Congress and federal policymakers on energy affordability, and what isn't. Panelists will share their most effective strategies, hard-won lessons, and recommendations for building stronger, more unified advocacy on Capitol Hill.

Participants including CCAs, national trade associations, and community groups attending this discussion will leave with a sharper understanding of the affordability challenge and a clearer sense of what bold, coordinated advocacy can accomplish.
